Health insurance & coverage

Medical consultation: covered

The medical consultation (initial consultation and follow-up appointments) is generally covered by basic health insurance (OKP), as it is a regular medical service billed at the TARDOC tariff. Depending on your insurance model (e.g. family doctor model, Telmed), the usual conditions such as deductible and co-payment apply.

Cannabis products: not covered

The costs of cannabis products are currently, as a rule, not covered by basic health insurance. Individual authorised finished medicinal products may be reimbursed under certain conditions; the assessment is made case by case by your health insurance.

Supplementary insurance

Some supplementary insurance plans for complementary medicine or alternative therapies may cover part of the product costs. It is worth asking your insurer directly. We will gladly provide you with a detailed invoice for submission.

Tip: ask your insurer

Ask your health insurance specifically about coverage under your supplementary insurance. Some insurers such as Helsana, CSS or Swica offer supplementary plans that may cover part of the product costs.
