Cannabis Therapy via Telemedicine

From the online consultation to the prescription. Medical guidance via video and supply through certified Swiss pharmacies.

Telemedicine consultations in Switzerland

evidena.care offers a telemedicine platform for patients who wish to book a medical video consultation. The consultation takes place entirely online, with no travel and no long wait for an appointment at a practice.

Whether a therapy with prescription-only preparations is an option is decided solely by the doctor in a personal consultation. If a prescription is issued, it is transmitted digitally to a Swiss partner pharmacy, which prepares the medication or delivers it by post.

You can learn more about how an online consultation works on our"How it works" page.

Legal situation in Switzerland

Legal since 1 August 2022, no exceptional permit required

On 1 August 2022, the Swiss Narcotics Act was amended. Since then, doctors have been able to prescribe medical cannabis directly, without the exceptional permit from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) that was previously required.

This change in the law enables:

  • Direct prescribing by any practising doctor
  • Supply through pharmacies on medical prescription
  • Broad product range from flowers to oils
  • Individual therapy based on medical assessment
